Poor Customer Service

Posted byL Romeroon 10/26/2009

On october 24th at around 2:30 in the afternoon my two girlfriends and i went to lunch at the mead street station, which was recommended to us by my girlfriend who had lunch there about a week ago with her coworkers. We walked in and it was crowded, i think there was only one table available so my friends and i seated ourselves. After sitting there for about fifteen minutes with out any acknowledgement what so ever, my friend made a comment saying ,if we don't get any service we are leaving. Just then a waitress walked up to us and asked if we had been helped, we said no and she gave us some menus and said someone will be right with you. After waiting another five minutes a very nice waiter walked up to us and asked if we were ready to order, so we ordered and when he brought our food he was surprised to see that we had not been given any napkins or tableware. To make a long story short i have never been treated so poorly. I am a native and minority of north denver and i frequent the shops and restaurants often. I know restaurants get busy , but never have i been at any business without any acknowledgement. If it were not for the nice waiter we would have walked, who also if i may mention was very pleased with the tip we left him. I will not be recommending your place of business to anyone. I think your employees need some training on how to treat people of all races and diversity.

Good.

Found this place on Citysearch during a recent trip to Denver. I read a good review of their ribs and my waitress also recommended them, so I gave them a try. My dinner was served very quickly and I was very pleased with my selection. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and very tasty. The green beans were fresh and had good flavor, with a sprinkling of crushed almonds and the mashed potatoes had a hint of garlic. The half slab I ordered was nearly as big as most other restaurants' full slabs. I left there stuffed and satisfied. The staff is very friendly with and obvious "neighborhood bar" feel - no pretention here and a very casual atmosphere. My one disappointment was the live band. They played something akin to Blues and they were pretty good, but the sound system must have been set to 11! It was uncomfortably loud in there and I was seated as far away from the band as I could get. (Un)fortunately, they have speakers all over the place... ;) Overall a very interesting place with a good food and a great neighborhood atmosphere, just far too loud for my taste.

Best Pub in town!

We LOVE this place. It is perfect for a easy going date night or going out with friends. Friday and Saturday nights get busy so arrive early and parking can be a mess, but the food, beer, and prices are worth the wait and the parking frustration.

The best BBQ ribs in Denver! Great food, Relaxing atmosphere, Friendly Staff, Live Music

Mead Street Station is my favorite pub in Denver! Located just North of the intersection of 32nd and Lowell on 32nd Ave, I highly recommend Mead Street for your next pub night. If you like BBQ Ribs...Meade serves the best ones I have ever tasted!
