The menu was quite selective. While the food was great, i felt like it was not worth the money. If you had to do a bang for buck comparison with fast food, it would be like spending $9 at Arby's on a combo. The wait staff were attentive but almost too attentive. The dining room looked like something on a 1960's movie. If you want food with a professional culinary touch then come here, but if you are looking for an experience then look elsewhere.

Decided to take my girlfriend to KT's for her birthday. They called me ahead of time to confirm the reservation and ask if there were any special occasions. I notified the restaurant that it was my girlfriend's birthday and they said there would be a surprise complementary desert. I thought that would be perfect and expected the best in service. My girlfriend never received any recognition for her birthday after dining nor any complimentary desert. There was a lot of extras for other parties for engagements and anniversaries that night. We just got the check for a lot of $$$$. They forgot. Despite how good the food was the experience sucked. I emailed them after the fact and never received a reply. The atmosphere is extremely stuffy and distant. Definitly not an intmante, romantic restaurant. I felt like I was a mile from my girlfriend at the table. She joked that the feeling was that we were on a high school date for how awkward the table and the service was. I felt the same. My advice is to avoid restaurant KT's unless you are a die hard foodie. There are so may other places in Denver with good food for less $, with so much better service and atmosphere.

I have dined in the finest restaurants in the world, not to brag, but to indicate I have the knowledge to speak intelligently about fine dining. DIning Room Atmosphere: Slightly above average Service: Well below average for a four star restaurant. The wait staff are too noticably present. In a restaurant of this level they should be like ghosts - Attentive, but never seen. Food: Great Presentation, but the food is fair at best. I had the fois gras, which by itself was excellent, but it was totally overwhelmed in flavor my the Vanilla French Toast - not a good pairing. The lobster salas was worse. The lobster is to be the focus of this dish, but the large pieces of avocado again overwhelmed the dish. For the main course I ordered the Seared Hawaiian Tuna. The highlight of this dish was the Pork Belly Potstickers. The tuna was lacking in both texture and flavor. For dessert, I enjoyed the Bittersweet "Liquid Center" Chocalate Cake - Very Good. Price: The normal day to day price for the four course meal of $65 would be fair, but to escalate the price to $125 per person on special occasions is not. Restaurant Kevin Taylor is at best a Two Star Restaurant that is charging Five Star Prices with Two Star Service and Food.

This is true five star service! And while not cheap, it was not nearly as expensive as i thought it would be. The food is absolutely fantastic. I will go back again and again!

"Decent" Upscale- for Denver yes... the "best" in Denver- no way. Good flavors, but a little un-inspired on the execution- more flair by rote. Where it is most lacking is in service. This is not a michelin starred restaurant in any respects in relation to service or overall execution. The sommelier, at least when I was there, was severely lacking in both knowledge and enthusiasm- wine is fun- and getting paid to share wine experiences should be fun as well- or at least interested/ing. There *are* michelin star worthy restaurants for the same price in the Denver metro area (Frasca, Flagstaff house)... Again, not a bad, and all in all, can be a fun and tasty evening out. But RKT misses a few beats to get more than 3 stars. Similar, yet in my opinion "better" options in Denver (besides those already listed) Fruition, Barolo Grill, Mizuna.
