Maybe it just wasn't a great day for Hobby Lobby when I visited, but I did not like it. The first time I went, it was Sunday -- a day when Hobby Lobby is closed. I think that is weird -- isn't Sunday when lots of us want to work on our hobbies? When I came back during the week, they did have the item I was looking for, but I had to ask three cranky sales people before I got directions to the right aisle. The merchandise seemed dusty, and there were lots of empty spaces on the shelves, as if they do not restock often enough. Michaels seems to be a similar store. I think I would stick with Michaels if I were looking for hobby and crafts items.

They always have fantastic sales, great furniture (shelves, tables, etc.) and I can always find everything I need (even if you have to look really hard sometimes) The only thing that I would change is getting rid of the HUGE section of fake flowers. It's about the same size as the 4 rows of picture frames. This is just a personal opinion of mine, so it won't impact my rating of them.

You cannot go wrong at Hobby Lobby. From Picture frames to custom framing, craft projects, home decor. Their selection of seasonal merchandise is the best in town. They always have fantastic sales at 50% or more off. This is a great deal when doing a custom framing project. The only complaint that I have is that The employees are not that friendly and you can never find someone when you need them. And this has got to be the only business in the country that uses old fashioned cash registers instead of computers. Which can make the check out lanes take forever!
