I recently went in to get a hair cut and the stylist that cut my hair,Kelly ,did not cut enough of my hair and I had to ask her repeatedly to cut more! She styled it in a way that made it difficult to realize that the length was still too long. I returned and she made it right, but I was ever so frustrated. Perhaps she was not having a good day, she did seem a bit distracted. Regardless, I tipped her well (both times). I will return, but would prefer to have another stylist.

WARNING!!!!!!!!!

They were terrible I'm and attractive female they ignored me for 10 mins before I even got on the list. They passed me over by 4 guys that came in after me so I nicely asked if they forgot me and they said yes but they will get to me right away, they took 2 more guys back before they called my name. Once I got to the stylist I told her I wanted a 1 in trim and clean up she gave me a mullet by starting at my eye level and cut my hair to the back of my head instead of to my shoulder. I began to cry and she smuggle said we serve men not women but have to serve you by law so next time go to a salon instead of a barbershop. She then laughed with another stylist as tears flowed down my face. She did not offer me a massage and didn’t apologize for her actions. I spoke to a former Floyd’s employee later and she said that is typical for the 16th and Champa stylist they don’t want women in there unless you cut hair. So when you see ads to come to Floyd’s they service all people they only serve men and will maliciously hack your hair and laugh with their coworkers of you are a woman!

what do they even DO?

Not cool. I went in to get a trim on my easy, long layers - only wanted an inch of TOPS, it took the girl maybe 5 minutes and I got charged for the most expensive cut. Ridiculous. Prices online are wrong, as well. She barely even got my hair wet - I think a few spritzes of the spray bottle. I'd rather pay a hundred bucks and get a good haircut.

This place is not for everyone, but you see people of all walks of life in there. The staff is very friendly, the back massage is nice and they use warm shaving cream to do the detail work on your neck. It is inexpensive and hip. Good place to go to people watch as well.

Saves the Day

My experience with Floyd's has been nothing but positive. Recently, I made the mistake of going to another (more expensive salon) because it was closer to my house. I asked for red highlights and got Ronald McDonald. Called Floyd's on Broadway and they hooked me up the very next day. Bill took the McD's look and blended it naturally. The testament in the outcome is that several girls at my Oscar party and work told me how good I looked and now want to go see Bill. In the past, I have routinely visit Champa and Leetsdale both with excellent results. Thanks to Bill and Floyd's for saving the day.
