BEST SALON EVER & PRICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted byhp46on 12/27/2006

I went to floyd's and got my hair colored and I totally loved it. My hair had been previously colored at another salon that was very pricey. What attracted me here was the Redken products they use, they work really well. I have a really dark base under all of my highlights, so i was scheduled for an appointment with Ineva and she is really sweet and nice. So... she touched up all of my roots and added alot of highlights. And i loved it, because i always ask for an ashy/beigey blonde (let me tell you alot of stylist can't achive these results with really dark hair. She gave me exactly what I wanted. Ineva also was really aware of all her clients, she would check on you, if she had other clients. Very friendly too, asking you if you want water. Another thing that makes this place so cool is that they have a computer for their customers, in case they need to check some email or something. With the color services you have done you get a free massage too!!! I love this place. I would reccommend Ineva to anybody, who wants to change their color drastically and have natural looking results. She also cuts hair. She's so talented.

Grin and bear it

Appearances can be deceiving. When I first walked into Floyd's on Leetsdale, I was wowed by the really hip decor and cool music. I walked out with the worst hair cut I'd ever had. It was obvious the barber didn't want to be there at all, but it was too late to back out when I was called to her chair. I asked for a number 1 on the sides and 1.5 on top and ended up with sporadic deforestation! When she asked how it looked, I said that it looked at little uneven and politely asked if she could even it out. She proceeded to vent by pressing the clippers so close and so tightly to my head that I felt she was trying to shave my skull. And it still looked terrible! At that point, I just felt like it be better to just grin and bear it. I paid, thanked her with a $5 tip, and left. I don't know if all of the barbers at the shop were like this or if this particular one was having a bad day or if all Floyd's are like this, but I hope not. They can do better. I think I'll stick with the old-school shops from now on.
