I had a very unpleasant experience at this book store. I brought in a bag of books for trade. The owner looked through them and said, ?I'll give you $10 in trade for these, but you can only use them in the general fiction room.? I said, ?OK, no problem.? I spent nearly 45 minutes looking for books I liked. It took that long because they have a fairly poor selection and the books are placed only vaguely in alphabetical stacks. I found a couple Graham Greene novels and a Eugene O'Neill drama and brought them to the front counter. ?Oh, I see what you're doing,? he said. ?You're just trying to take all of my best books. You can't have them?none of the books you brought are good enough.? ?Sir. I don't know your standards for what makes a book too good for my trade credit. I followed your instructions on which room I could take from. Beyond that how you expect me to know which books I can take?? ?Ok, I get it. Take your books back. I don't want to do business with someone who only takes better books.? He pushed the stack of books toward me and motioned for me to leave. I left. What kind of a bookstore owner would waste my time and make such a stink about $10 of trade credit? And since when have Graham Greene and Eugene O'Neill been hot sellers? I don't see anyone lining up to buy them. It's no wonder they have such a poor selection of books?because no one will bring them any. I highly recommend avoiding this bookstore.
