BEST SESAME TOFU!!!

Posted bysarge1234on 12/18/2008

I've tried many of China Dragons dishes and have found them to be very nicely average to above average. Have never had anything I was disappointed with. And I have to say that China Dragon has THE BEST SESAME TOFU I've ever had. Many restaurants over cook their tofu, making it leathery on the outside and sucking the moisture out of the inside. But not China Dragon, it's always perfectly cooked and comes with a side of steamed broccoli. I also think their Mapo Tofu is to die for, which is a soupy concoction of tofu, pork, green pepper, and onion, spicy and on the salty side. As for the bad customer service from the one star review, I've always been met with smiles when ordering it in person, but could understand that their thick chinese accents could be hard to handle over the phone, and yes they do seem to have a bit of an impatient attitude when I see them on the phone taking orders. But they are all very nice. China Dragon is not really a sit down and eat restaurant, you can, they have tables, but no waiters per se.

Excellent hole in the wall

This is seriously the best Chinese food in the area! We have tried everything in the area, and this is the place we keep coming back to. There isn't anything on the menu we don't like, and the chef specialties are great things to start with! The prices are slightly higher than normal, but well worth it because of the large portions and great taste. If you want extremely cheap go to Sing On. The lady that always answers the phone doesn't speak good English and she seems a little impatient, but don't hold that against them! The person who gave them one star didn't try the food and doesn't know what (s)he is talking about. We order from them regularly without problems. Beware of the bum that tries to wash your windshield when you order carry out, as he is kinda aggressive. Just get it delivered. The only better Chinese food we have had in Denver has been at Little Ollies, but that is in Cherry Creek and top class. May Wah (120th & Sheridan + Baseline and Foothills) has A+ food and on par with China Dragon, but isn't such a hole in the wall.

Terrible Customer Serice!!

I had never ordered from this place before, was not familiar with their menu but I figured it was probably similar to a lot of other chinese restaurants. The lady who answered the phone claimed to be the manager and was very rude to me out of frustration because I didn't know the menu, she actually sighed and said, "oh mi god" at one point, I was shocked and extremely offended. Their food can't be that good that they can afford to be rude to guests. It's too bad because quite frequently I order chinese or pizza delivery. I wouldn't recommend calling this place if you aren't 100 percent sure what you want, have any questions, and or want polite people to answer the phone.
