Best Mexican I have had in Colorado

Posted bystarkdouloson 2/14/2008

Having lived in New Mexico, California and The Yucatan, I have been continuously let down by so called authentic Mexican restaurants in Colorado. But no longer, Chez Jose has exceeded all my expectations and then some. Granted I've only tried the Prawn Fajita burrito and the fish tacos, I can already tell you this place is the caca! Quick review: -Inexpensive (especially for Cherry Creek) -Good value -Friendly staff -Fresh ingredients -They deliver to my area!

My favorite mexican place

Delicious burritos

I have been to Chez Jose many times. They have the best breakfast burritos in town, period! Make sure to get them smothered, YUM! Their steak burrito is also fantastic. I also really enjoy the salsa bar. I highly recommend visiting Chez Jose if you want some fast, delicious, cheap eats.

chez jose has been a mainstay of mine for the last 8 years. I get the same thing most every time....traditional steak burrito. it's a large burrito w/ spanish rice, black beans, pico de gallo, cheese, and of course steak. the best part is the last 1/5 of the burrito when all the juices from the steak, beans, and pico de gallo pool up in the bottom of the burrito....really good. they have a salsa bar w/ around 5 different kinds of salsa which are quite good. service is always very friendly. overall it's just a really great place for lunch. I think they may be serving breakfast as well now.

This restaurant has been one of our favorites clear back when it was scary to venture to North Denver at night. We Love the Atmosphere, Cuisine and most of all, the feeling for a few minutes that we time traveled to Mexico for an evening meal! I was however a bit dissapointed in the quality of the Cuisine on our last vist.. both our entrees didn't stack up to the previous quality we had come to expect... hopefully it was just an off night in the kitchen because it's still one of our favorites for Dinner and Drinks!
