I HATE THIS PLACE

Posted bygoodpeopledrinkgoodbeeron 9/17/2009

I lived near Charlie Brown's for over two years, and I have to say it is the most overrated bar in Denver. The food is terrible; greasy, no flavor, and over salted. Most of the people who frequent this bar are loud-obnoxious suburbanites, who woke up one day and realized that they were on the downside of middle-aged and decided it was time to relive their early twenties. They will drink themselves stupid, walk out of the bar into a densely populated neighborhood, and start screaming and hooting as if no one else in the world matters. Of coarse the management doesnt care, they continue to let their annoying clientele stand outside of their establishment and make as much noise as possible well after 2am. Support good neighbors, dont go to Charlie Browns-

Good for both lunch and happy hour

Posted byptmatthewson 7/19/2009

I have been to Charlie Brown's both for lunch and happy hour with co-workers. The food is good, although service can be slow at lunch. Never had an attitude problem with the staff. Happy hour is two-fers for your first round and there is almost always free food. We just went last Friday for happy hour and they were roasting a pig on the patio (it was delicious and free!) and the place was packed. The ambience is a little rundown, but comfortable. I will return.

decent

Place is a throwback piano bar, grill, neighborhood haunt in an old classic of what used to be a sort of beat hotel. The food is decent and pretty basic bar and grill style stuff. Seems a bit like an old smokey lounge in Chicago or New York.

Favorite Hangout

I am a Charlie Browns lover. It is my favorite place in Denver to go and chill after work, grab dinner on a Friday night, or have Sunday breakfast (Mexican skillet is the best!) I like all the staff, food, drinks, ambiance, everything. The happy hour with free snacks on Friday is a nice bonus as well. If you want a spot to hang out and just kick back this is the place.

Avoid at all costs

I moved to the neighborhood about 2 months ago and have been to Charlie Browns on several occasions. While the place is clean, the staff needs an attitude adjustment. I agree with the previous poster about that brunette bimbo. She is nothing short of rude and nasty. The place is clean, I will give it that and the food is absolutely horrible. I would not recommend this place at all.
