Like the clothes, but that's about it...

Posted byagirlcalledkillon 8/25/2009

I like the clothes, of course. They're trendy and always in good condition. The prices can be a little high for "used" clothing, might as well buy something brand new. I agree with other users in that some of the staff have this nasty attitude and think they're hot sh*t because they dress like an indie rock socialite or what have you, f*cking SPARE ME please.

A great place to shop for unusual, and vintage items.

If you want to sell or trade items with the Buffalo Exchange, you need to be aware of what they sell. They do buy vintage and used clothing.. that is.. items that are in gently used, good wearable condition. They are NOT a thrift store, and their items are priced above thrift store prices. They buy based on the store's current need, which changes on a daily to weekly basis. It is unreasonable to expect them to buy every item that you present for resale. Their prices for vintage items are reasonable; Vintage stores have a much higher mark up.

Hate this store with a passion....

I HATE this store. It smells of old clothing and stuck up people. I have gone in there four times trying to sell clothing; first time, BE Rep, "we're looking for more winter stuff." Next time (a week or so later) I take in a TON of winter stuff. BE Rep, "Your stuff looks worn" Oh REALLY? No S**T SHERLOCK-it's a used clothing store. Next attempt (a couple months later) I took in all those things in my closet that I had bought and never worn...brand new. BE Rep, "We're looking for more plain stuff, less eclectic items." Oh really? Every single associate in there looks like Ducky from Pretty in Pink, and you're telling me they take "regular" clothing. I think not. It really is a store about who you are and what you look like when you come in.....they are too stuck up and hoity-toity for a resale shop. Definite NO-boycott for the remainder of my life. I just have to ask the question...which one of the associate do I have to f**king sleep with in order to get some decency around there?

Lots of New Brands Mixed in With Vintage and Local Designers

Great place to browse through for the unexpected. I bought these amazing biker boots there. I wear them every chance I get. Both the men's and women's sides have great finds, and the staff is happy to help. I also love the way that the staff dresses. They embody the whole vintage feel. However, as for consiging, I do not believe that they offer good deals, and they do not take as much as they should. Nevertheless, whimsical choice of shoes, shirts, sweaters, coats, belt buckles, etc. A Must-see!

Too Hipster for their Own Good

It is the same stuff everytime you go in there. Skull and cross bones are over. I feel that the staff there are less than helpful. There is virtually no customer service in the mentality of the employees, they are too busy comparing their portrait tattoos. I was able to sell a good portion of my load and the price they offered for the goods was reasonable but the aggravation was not worth it.
