My wife and I found the place very disappointing. The staff was very nice and greeted us outside and made us very welcome. Our waiter was attentive and talkative, not that smiley though, but it wasn't a problem. The place stunk, almost like a raw or stale shrimp smell, I have been to several seafood restaurants and never smelt anything so bad. My wife ordered fish and chips, it was so greasy, and the mahi mahi was tasteless. I ordered the Shrimp sampler, with a Varity of sauces. The chilled shrimp was tasteless and most had the veins in, the other three types were tasteless had to order the hot Cajun sauce to make them edible. Our bill for two people was high, I don't mind paying high prices for seafood, but I expect high quality, not this junk. If you want good seafood, go to one of Denver's excellent non-franchise seafood restaurants, heck even Chilis or Applebees beats this place hands down.

We went to the Gumps to celebrate a birthday and it was so much fun. They made my boyfriend stand on a chair and I think everyone in the entire restaurant was singing and clapping. It was amazing!! I recorded it and am going to put it on you tube. It was so much fun. The food was awesome too. I ordered the shrimpers heaven and could not even eat half of eat. I got a second meal with my doggie bag. VALUE!! I read the negative review when logging on to do mine and I am confused by their comments. I think sometimes people with no sense oh humor or personality should not go to fun places. This place rocked and I cannot wait till another friend has a birthday. We are so there. Oh- and they let us play ping pong in there private banquet room. YEA!!

My friend and I went there for lunch and overall I found the place very disappointing. The staff was very nice and greeted us outside and made us very welcome. Our waiter was attentive and talkative, not that smiley though, but it wasn't a problem. The place stunk, almost like a raw or stale shrimp smell, I have been to several seafood restaurants and never smelt anything so bad. Our garlic bread was crisp and tasty. My fish and chips had nice fries, but the mahi mahi was tasteless. The mudpie dessert had no flavor, except for tons & tons of sugar. Our bill was $44.18 for two people, I don't mind paying high prices for seafood, but I expect high quality, not this junk. If you want good seafood, go to one of Denver's excellent non-franchise seafood restaurants, heck even Chilli's or Applebees beats this place hands down. The only saving grace was the good service (4 stars) the food was awful.

This place has really gone downhill. The food is all pre-packaged and fermented with exotic polymers. Our party had three different entrees and each tasted similar. Unfortunately this chain has gone the way of other nation chains by charging high prices for packaged food. A real shame, b/c it's the first restaurant outside the Convention Center and gives a poor representation to visitors of some really good restaurants on 16th St. Needed, better floor management and wait staff, broader menu selection, real chefs preparing fresh meals.

The decor is awesome, even though they should only play the Forrest Gump soundtrack (okay, I know it would drive the wait staff crazy) but other than that, it's overpriced and has little selection.
