One of the few places to see live music in the DTC area. Service is spotty- sometimes OK, sometimes bad. Good, long happy hours every day and all day Sunday. The food is pretty average an some of it over-priced. Gets very crowded during Friday evening happy hour.

I went to Baker St for the first time last Saturday. The venue was not my choice and after looking at the reviews here was a bit worried that with a large party it was going to be a long uncomfortable experience. Our Waitress was spot on all night. We never had a dry glass and the food while nothing great was served hot and quickly. The place does get packed. The brews on tap list is impressive and affordable. I will be back and am pleased to report that while others may have had Service issues in the past there is every reason to believe they are being addressed.

far from good service.. I have to be totally honest, I was in this evening and was not impressed by the service... I recommend ordering from the bar.. but even then the service was not great.... I'm young and out on the town a lot and I must admit that you can get better prices on drinks and service at other bars... I also should say that I was seated at a table that was not acknowleged for the better part of an hour... as a result we had to walk to the bar to get a drinks.... I enjoyed the live band but more then likely I will not be going back its really kind of sad as I live within walking distance and would perfer to walk to this location...

It's funny how the complaints are about the waitresses, because that's the only problem I see with the place. I'm in the service industry and it's not that hard to remember a drink or check back on a table to see if they are doing ok with drinks or food. Anyways being in the service industry is one of the main reasons we go to Baker St., its close to work and on Sunday nights they have $1.75 wells for everyone and if you have the SIN card (if you can get one-- "cuz they are out of stock") your first drink of every night is free. As for the waitresses there, I only TRUST JUDY to serve us, otherwise I order my drinks at the bar. Anytime me and my friends have gone there and had some other girl, something went wrong, EVERY time, even on horribly slow nights when you would think you would get good service. Even the times I didn't go with my friends they would tell me the same thing would happen to them. My advice ASK FOR JUDY, OR ORDER FROM THE BAR. The appetizers aren't bad and on the weekends is pretty hopping, otherwise during the week it's pretty mellow, never really been there during the day.

I have been going to Baker Sreet for over three years* and it's been the same every time I go. The food is pretty good, the burgers can be as good as the Cherry Cricket's, depending on the night. Great happy hour prices. And not just for two hours a night. The heated outdoor patio is a fun place to hang out. Especially if you can get by the outdoor fireplace on a cool night. Good live music. The wait staff is a joke. I don't know who hires them or if they have any training after they get the job, but it's pathetic. Is it too much to check to see if I want a drink replaced before I'm panting like a dog? And would a smile be too much to ask? The Trivia contest on Wed would make Alex Trebec tremble. They must be the one million dollar questions that Regis never got around to ask. But the biggest complaint is that it's always open seating. Note to management: If I show up with a few of my friends and am standing around waiting for a table and at the other side of the bar one opens up, I should have first dibs at it. Not the lucky group that just happened to walk past it. If Southwest Airline can figure out how to reinvent the boarding process, surely someone can go buy some of those vibrating alarms that a hostess uses at TGI Olive Garden. OK. I'll explain the asterik. Why do I go back? That's easy. Bellmar/Lakewood has no other place around. If anybody knows of an Uptown Tavern (Great place) like joint, please let me know.
