Armida's is a very lively, energetic and fun place to hang out. The staff changes less regularly than you might think so there's usually someone there who will recognize you. It's the kind of place you can go to alone and leave with a handful of friends. The drinks are a bit pricey and the cocktails are usually flat (no fizz!) so I'd recommend a beer and the chile rellenos. Really, this is a very fun place and worth a visit!

y sister loves karaoke and bars. And since this place is close to our home, we went two to four times a week. The DJ knows my sister by name , but nobody else does. They always ask us for ID even though they saw us the night before. The last time we went there, she left her ID at home and they wouldnt even accept her Passport. We had to get the DJ to let us in. Most of the time I go, they don't even ask me if I want something to drink. The last time I went there (full house because of a party) I had to stand against a wall, where the waiter came screaming at me to get out of the way. The "mexican" food is mediocre, I am latino and would rather go to chipotle or qdoba. Once I saw a couple almost making their booth into their bedroom.

Wow they have really updated their karoake selection and went digital plus brought back karoake at 6pm every nite! The only drawback is the new hrs 5-1:30am which means no more great lunches! But still by far my favorite place.

I have been going to Armida's for over 5 years now, and it is by far my favorite hangout in Denver! I am a karaoke fiend and absolutely adore meeting up with my friends each Wednesday night to do a little singing and enjoy the delicious, authentic-tasting Mexican food. (Though there is karaoke 7 nights a week, I have always found the weekends to be a little too crowded for my liking, so I stick with Wednesdays and the occasional Sunday) Armida's has a really cool vibe, and the staff treats their regulars like family. The wait staff there even has my order memorized so I can just say "the usual," which is really cool! The crowd is very diverse depending on the night you go. If you don't want to meet up with a bunch of drunk 20-something hipsters coming in from the nearby Funky Buddha, you probably shouldn't go on Fridays or Saturdays. The rest of the week is highly unpredictable. Some nights, it's a small crowd singing mellow James Taylor-type songs, and other nights it's an energetic group of people butchering 80's pop classics. Armida's also recently added some really cool stage lighting which is somewhat blinding when you're on the stage, but serves its purpose in giving everybody the rock-star feeling. I have had my last 3 birthday parties there, and look forward to many more!

Armida's is a great place to bring friends for any kind of celebration. A group of friends met there last month for my birthday - and it turned out to be one of my best ever. We started with their happy hour -- 2 for 1 mixed drinks, from 4-6pm. Besides the cool music, the excellent homemade food and karaoke just added to a great birthday. Thanks to the family at Armida's for helping to make my day a little extra special!
