Crispy, perfectly browned pizza crusts topped with spicy sauce and several different ingredients are the routine at Angelo's. But, in addition to the basics, Angelo's comes through with interesting additions like green chiles and artichoke hearts. Good dessert menu.

I've been going to Angelo's for years but not because I love their food but rather because of the relaxed atmosphere. Yes, the service is slow but you don't feel rushed. The food is alright. You can get a calzone that's just as good if not better at and Old Chicago or get a better tasting pizza from Black Jack or Famous. But, if you're more into the vibe of a place this is a good place. It feels like you're in a place with history.

Expensive, sticky tables, no happy hour, run-down looking, very s-l-o-w service. This place needs an extreme makeover.

I've been going to Angelo's for 20 years. It is very good American-Italian food of an old-fashioned variety. They have quality ingredients, delicious red sauce, a nice variety of menu items other than their fine pizza & calzones, wonderful salads. Nice patio, nice table wine, friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere inside.

We've been to Angelo's a few times since moving into the neighborhood, but after our last experience we won't be going back. The food is ok, not the best Italian but fine for a cheap meal. On 3/21 we were seated next to a family I assume was the owner's that included three women, one man, and two young boys. Throughout our meal I watched as one of the boys ran around, played with his toys on the floor, ran his hands through the man's hair...and then went into the kitchen and put his hands on the counter surfaces. Blech. I usually try to not think about what can (and does) happen in restaurant kitchens, I can't ignore it when I see it for myself.

I eat at Angelo's fairly often. It is one of my favorite local eateries. The food is tasty and always hot. The service is the best in Denver. Yes, I'm even talking better than places like North or Barolo Grill. You will not find a friendlier staff. If you are starving, no problem, you always get your food quickly. The wine is inexpensive and decent. Ask for the thin crust pizza with meatball, sliced tomato and jalapeno. It's my favorite. Also, Denver does not allow smoking in restaurants any longer so no worries there.
