I have been getting my haircut at Al's for a couple years now and I remain very impressed. Patrice is an exceptional stylist & has always done a fine job although I've had varying cuts over the years. The location is 15th & larimer right off the mall/writer's square. The inside has a modern barber shop feel w/ large flat-screens (usually sportscenter). Reasonable prices for the quality. Highly recommend.

I recently moved to Denver and have to say that I just had the best service from a barbershop/salon without compare. I called for an appointment in the morning and David was ready to give me what turned out to be the best treatment I have had at any price. I have had good service at other Salons around the world. Seven in Seattle has a very sophisticated vibe and the talent to back it up. Intercoiffeur in Rome is refined and elegant and Pall Mall Barbers in London is, well, very proper. I am accustomed to paying well over a C note for the attention of a stylist/barber. I say again this was the best. What was so great? First great location, clean no nonsense and interesting at the same time. Second highly skilled stylist with a highly developed acumen and a great ethic with the skill and depth of knowledge to get it right and finally enough time to nail it. The last thing one wants is a great team in the house with a dozen appointments waiting behind you flipping through the fashion mags. My hat is off to you at Al's-- Many thanks!

The people there can only do a regular haircut that any mother at home can do, they don't know how to follow directions and were clueless when I told them I wanted a razor fade... Then they charge $20+ ! My brother paid, but I will never go back! Overpriced mediocre service works for yuppies, not real people.
