HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERIVCE!!!!!

Posted byADW0902on 8/18/2009

I set an appointment 2 days in advance at the downtown location and showed up ON TIME only to be told I had no appointment. Then was accused of making the appointment at the Cherry Creek location - ummm I think I know who I called! REALLY! Then they asked if I could wait 1/2 hour...let's see they had 3 walk-ins waiting and 2 employees - really think they can get all that done in 1/2 hour! plus had customers in the pedi chairs already! They do not know what customer service is. Also had a poor experience at the DTC location, but decided to give them a try again since it was a different location - what a fool I was!!!

Very nice, but expensive for the lack of ambience

I rated 5th Ave 4 stars because they are a very capable salon. They're clean, nice (which is very important to me at nail salons where I go to relax), and they do a good job! Every time I've gone they've been very thorough, more so than other salons. The best part is the massage they give you when your drying your nails. My only complaint is that it is on the expensive end- without giving the spa environment.

Don't get a French Pedicure!

Posted bylgtackeron 5/14/2007

I got a french pedicure the day before leaving for vacation. The service while I was there was okay and they did a pretty good job. My first day on vacation laying at the pool my toe nails looked slightly yellow. I didn't think much of it, but my second day at the pool my toe nails became more and more yellow. They ended up becoming a bright yellow and looked terrible! I had to go up to my hotel room and remove the polish and repaint my nails. I spoke to the spa at my hotel and she said I must have gotten my toes done at a place that used bad product. They should have used a non-yellowing top coat, which they clearly did not. After paying $42 and my pedicure only lasting three days I went back to 5th Avenue Nail Salon to ask for a refund or a complimentary pedicure. The manager refused. She offered a 1/2 price pedicure or just a re-paint in a color. This is terrible customer service! The manager was very unfriendly and downright rude. I will never go back there and would not recommend them.
