One of the greatest, cheapest cuts in our city can be had from the Puretalent hairdressers at Aveda. These aren't just your run-of-the-mill hairdressing students; these are already talented men and women who are simply looking to take their skills to the next level. Since they are students, however, you will get a great rate for a great haircut even as you help your stylist gain the experience she needs to make a name in the beauty community. Get a trim or get a full coloring: the stylists are already licensed and quite competent. The only downside, really, is that you probably won't get the same person more than once or twice as they tend to move on over the course of a few months.

Very hip even for a hair salon, Babooshka might best be described by what's nearby. Within just a block on Colfax you have a collectible toy shop for adults, a late night cupcake and cereal joint, a live music venue, a bar and plenty more. The hairdressers at Babooshka are of a youthful mentality: fun loving and a bit carefree. Don't think, however, that this means they do any less than exceptional work whether you know exactly how you want your hair to turn out or you're looking for some advice for a new ‘do. Get in the spirit of the area on Fridays with a free can of PBR to down during your cut. You're sure to love the end result, and it won't just be the beer talking.

Isolated, indeed almost hidden, just blocks away from the fashionable restaurants and shops of LoHi, Scarlet Salon is northwest Denver's best upscale hair boutique. From the uncluttered and comfortable salon space to the friendly stylists, Scarlet has everything it takes to reassure you that this cut will be among the best you've ever had. The safety of having top-notch stylists and products comes with a price that is fair but still high. Unless you've got a budget with plenty of cushion, this place might be best reserved for special occasions or major style changes.

An indulgent little escape from the everyday, Hair Peace Salon has stylists that work hard to make sure the look you get is what you want. They won't take ambivalence for an answer, instead helping you find a style that will fit your face and your personality. Learn how to keep your new hair in tip-top shape without the pressure to buy products then and there. If you're really lucky, you might even get one of the incredible scalp massages that are truly a calming and rejuvenating experience. Whether you want a basic cut or something snazzy for a special day, Floyd's has stylists that can do just about anything.
