With playgrounds, picnic areas, running paths, tennis courts, a golf course and a lake renting paddle boats, the 300 acre City Park offers a plethora of family activities with the picturesque Rockies loaming in the background. Thousands flock to the park in the summer to experience the Sunday summer jazz concerts but during snowy winter days, the park offers easy opportunities for sledding, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. A few miles east of downtown Denver, the park is home to several cultural institutions including the Denver Museum Nature & Science and the Denver Zoo.
